Since the weather became so cold, i have been having a hard time removing my key from the ignition switch. I always have to leave the car for about 10 minutes before i am able to take it out. Can someone tell me why? PLease help.

i have a 92 gs and i have the same problem i just wiggle it a ton till it finally comes out ive been looking for a new ignition lock with keys and cant find any

I own a 1990 Acura Integra GS that had the same problem. The shifter switch in the consol needed to be removed and taken apart. The grease in the switch had gotten hard with age and wouldn't let the contactors move freely. Good luck.

anyone ever replace ignition lock and know where i can get one it sux sitting in your car for 5 minutes just trying to get the key out of the ignition sometimes longer

ok i fugured it out when you put your car in park look at the shifter light for park it probably wont come on so it basicly is not registering
so what you do is get an extra key when you put it in park and your not able to turn off your ignition put your extra key in the shifter lock slot next to the shifter in the center console then turn and take out your key then take the second key out of the shifter lock slot
