95-97 intake vs. 2000+ intake

I am new, just got a black 2.2L OHV Auto 2002 se coupe last week. I look on ebay and see these intakes for 95-97 2.2L for like $35 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2437596411) and I have to wonder...are these any good at all? And if so, would one for a 97 work on my 2002/what are the differences in the intake for these years, since they appear to be the same generation of cars? A $35 intake that works decent would be sweet, right?
Thx.undivine

Undivine, I think I can answer this as I have had the same issue, in a sense. Ok, the 95-97 intakes are more towards the front of the car, near the exhaust manifold. This is not the case with 2000+. Im not sure about 98 and 99. Well, on 2000+, the intake is behind and above and valve cover. Stupid, yes, but oh well. As for the intakes you see on ebay... thats like taking a chance on buying anything "as is", but to answer your queston, an intake for a 95-97 wont fit on a 200+ and vice versa. Its a bit different setup. I bought one myself for a 2001 Sunfire. It works alright, only thing is the governor in those cars are relentless. I hope this answers your question. Oh and by the way, 2.2L and 2.4L are also different types of intake. I learned all this the hard way :P
