Smelled burning wires.... lost heater fan!

Hey all, I have a '93 Metro... I was driving with the heater on, then thought I smelled burning wires... blower fan shuts off and won't come back. Fuses are OK. I have no idea what to do here... is this a common problem? Please help! Thanks,

does any of the speed work on the fans? if only certain speed work then you probably need the blower motor resister. if none of the speed work then you probably need the blower motor.
