1995 grand am gt overdrive problem
I'm not sure whats going on with my transmission but heres the scoop. My overdrive will work when I start my car and shift it directly from park to drive. But if I want to stop, place it park, leave the car running, then place it back in drive, the overdrive will not kick in anymore. I have to turn the car off then on again and place it directly to drive from park any ideas anyone?

Take off your negative battery terminal, wait a few seconds, and put it back on. Do this before you try anything else. For whatever reason, this has fixed many stupid problems with my auto tranny. It resets the ECM and the tranny is electronic.
