Seat belts to Harness
Ok heres the deal. Im going to get racing seats with harness' sometime soon. So with that done, I wont need my stock seatbelts anymore, correct? I saw that Ci5iC has this done. Also, what will the harness' bolt to in my CRX? Everyone else I've seen with them has seatbelts in the rear. So what do I have to do? Will it still pass inspection like this?

Damn it. Im sure one of you guys know. I could just bolt them down in the back, but it needs to pass state inspection.

Okay okay... keep your kilt on...
Mine are just bolted to the rear lap-belt anchor points... in the future (read: when I get some extra money), I'm going to relocate the mount to where the rear shoulder-belts were mounted (behind the interior panels). However, in order to do that, I'm going to have to find a shop that would be willing to un-sew part of the belt so that I can run it through the loop that bolts to the C-pillars... Either way though, it will still render rear seat-belts unusable, which is fine since I don't have a rear seat anymore. I think that's what most people do, but another way is to mount them to a roll-cage (if you've got one or have the money/need for one). As far as the harness lap-belts, they will bolt directly to your car. When I put mine in, I found that there are already threaded holes that the bolts fit right into in the proper locations (even though I had door-mounted seatbelts to begin with, I think the holes are for floor-mounted belts). However, the driver-side only had one of these holes, so I had to drill a hole in the exhaust tunnel and bolt it into that from under the car. Hope that helps you.
