It seems Hyundai are doing a 'Mitsubishi' and pulling out of WRC competition for a year(or 2)
http://rally.racing-live.com/en/head...17155055.shtml Sad to loose a manufacturer in the championship, but maybe they are taking the right stratey, provided they are returning to the WRC at a later date. With the new driver rules this throws another spanner in the works from the driver's point of view, 2 less seats needing filled means there are 2 more drivers looking for a drive for next year.... With Mitsubishi coming back in, there will be 12 seats to fill, but with the new driver rule that is still less than there was this year.

And there is some kind of dispute over money between MSD and Hyundai. They may not even complete the season

Not just Hyundai...
Hyundai is not the only team experiencing problems... Ford is also having problems. Internal disputes about the costs of supporting their rally car team, plus the additional costs with the FIA's jump to a 16-race schedule for the 2004 season.
