'93 Civic won't start when parked downhill
My '93 Honda Civic starts fine except when I park on a slope facing
downhill. Then it will not start. The engine turns over, but nothing happens. If I push the car to level ground and let it sit a couple hours, it will then start fine. I suspect the engine is getting flooded. Would this be a fuel pump problem? Or is it something else? Again, the car starts fine except when parked on a slope facing downhill. Thanks. |

Just park with the car facing uphill.

Re: '93 Civic won't start when parked downhill
Ok your car doesn not get flooded. Programmed fuel injection which I'm sure your car has doesn't allow you to flood the engine. You can press on the gas all day long and nothing is happening. More than likely its a fuel pump, or its what it sounds like to me. get it fixed, quick easy do it yourself kinda thing.
