Well, it's too late for a poll since shake down is past...

Another interesting rally in the makings, the championship lead should rightfully change hands this round, that is of course unless Burns pulls his thumb out and does some real driving

Petter did a number on his car in the shake down:


He may not even make the start now, unless the stewards allow him to miss the ceremonies tonight in order that he can compete tomorrow.
He and Phil are without injury, the telephone pole on the other hand is fire wood now, believe it or not, the Impreza won!

It's tarmac again so Loeb should be unquestionably fast, Panizzi should be too and Markko has his 'lucky car' so he will be feeling good. Marcus will likely be pushing too as will Sainz and any of the other drivers in with a competitive chance.

Ford also claim to have resolved the engine cooling problems from Sanremo which should make Markko and Duval happy.

Once again, no Hyundai.....

Well, that was a turnout, Petter Solberg won the 2003 Rally France, an excellent drive on Petter's part and well deserved win.

Thanks for the interest in this rally from everyone.

Excellent work from his mechanics who allowed him to participate. I missed the report but it look like that this one was a cracker, Peter had an exellent drive and blown the championship wide open.
Absolutly amazing Sainz... again... now on the top of the table (at last a deserved leader).I would be so happy if el matador won this year championship, the young gunners can wait.
I saw that Loeb had a accident that blown his chance on this rally, well he's still on the champ race and the next rally is on tarmac.

Congratulations Petter - for him to get a win from such a disastrous start to the weekend is fantastic, and credit should be given to the whole Subaru team for pulling it off.

The last two rallies of the season should be good, tense affairs. With four drivers so close to the top of the table there'll be a lot of pressure on them. I'm looking forward to some good, close, on-the-limit driving (at least from 3 of the contenders).

Personally I'd love to see Sainz get another title, he's driven exceptionally well this season and has always been close to the top of the table. In comparison to another driver with similar results, Carlos has always seemed like he's really trying to win, with a real hunger for the title.

On the other hand, both Petter and Seb would be very worthy winners, and it would be good to see one of the 'next generation' of drivers claim their first title.

The younger ones should stick it out for another year. I trully hope that Carlos can take it and that the N°1 will be on a Citroën next year.

On the other hand, Petter did a fantastic job, thanks to the team and the wheater also. Resistance for the title is not to be expected from Peugeot anymore since their "focus" is already on next year and the 307. We could be in for a surprise though. Peugeot and Citroën fighting it out and Petter taking the drivers crown for Subaru, leaving both manufacturers a bit empty handede. From a marketing pont of view, a drivers title is still a lot more apealing then a conctructors one, although the WRC teams will try and convince us otherwise.
