Holy crap...

http://www.apexmodified.ca/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=425

248whp

278ft-lbs of torque

For the STOCK 2004 SRT-4's with the Quaife LSDs.

Also, the dyno run seemed to have been done at a high-altitude location, and the tuner was seriously expecting about 215-225 at the wheels.

The one's that bought the 2003s are making LESS with their stage 1 kits on...some are hating already:
http://www.srtforums.com/forums/show...5&pagenumber=1

And this is what one '04 owner ran bone-stock:

R/t .721
60' 2.395
330 6.157
1.8 9.207
MPH 81.29
1000 11.812
1/4 14.036
MPH 101.10

That's with 3 weeks only of stick-shift driving, and third time at the line. With a better R/T, and 60', he should be mid 13's...

I know, I know...just a Neon...mighty impressive though...

I'd totally rock a neon if I could have the srt4 drivetrain in a mid 90's ACR Neon body.

Re: Holy crap...

My gf has has been talking about getting a new car, and since she said Mustangs were too long, I have been pushing the SRT-4 thing a little bit. Hehe, but I think she knows I would be driving it more then her, if she got it.

I'll admit that those things are beasts from the factory. But what do you expect? 2.4 liters is pretty big for a four cylinder and the stock turbo runs like 11 psi (isnt that alot for stock?). And if the SRT-4 is seriously trying to compete with similarly priced imports (RSX, WRX, etc.) then it's handling doesnt seem up to par. I like its aggressive stance and all, but a ride that high must have alot of body roll. Its F/R weight distribution is like 62%/38%!! So I am impressed with its straight line performance, but one encounters turns in everyday driving....

That's my

68%/32% is not too bad for a front wheel drive car. and the car can handle. even without the limited slip. dodge just decided to make the car better.

SRT-4's are very well respected for their ability to slip through the slalom. Plus the Neon chassis IS quite competent.

But you're right on the styling, there's two doors too many. Guess I have to keep sending those letters about producing the Razor.

i have no arguements with a brand new car that will run 13's stock for under $20,000.
