Eyelids are legal...for now. Dont put it past the gov't to make ANYTHING illegal when it comes to cars.

pretty sure they are still leagal....that dont mean that a punk rockie cop that thinks he is hot crap wont pull you over for it just so he can be a dill weed about it... but i know alot of trucker have the stainless steel eyelids and they go through a visual DOT everytime they roll through a weight station and non of them that i have head of have had any trouble... infact the SS ones have been around since the 50's and never herd any carp about them....not sure about the vinyl ones.. maybe a good ???? to ask an older cop or one you can trust
