Rough Idle

I have a 99 Neon 2.0 DOHC. It just got cold here in MI, and the service engine soon light comes on. I goto Auto Zone, and they hook it up to find a EGR FLOW INSUF read. 2 hours later, and a full tank of gas, it goes away. The next day, the temp gets real cold, and the car idles real rough and sometimes stalls when cold. After about 5-10 min, it seems to warm up and it idles fine. I'm suspecting EGR or some vacuum problem. Any information would be appreciated.

check your spark plugs, you might have to get new ones, because i had a hard idle and changed the spark plugs and worked perfect. i also had the warning light that went away too. or it might be the engine mont just being to cold and have to expand to the engine's heat. the engine mont might need tightening

Yes it could be an EGR,I have a 95 Neon (I also my second 95 Neon now) that idled rough and stalled when the weather got cold here,we changed plugs ect but it did turn out to be the EGR. Hope that helps.
