Big Tip 4 a little advice

Here is the problem I was having recently so I hope this helps someone out. Having problems accelerating at a dead stop? Does your transmission seem to pulling roughly when you slam the accelerator? Do you find up hill driving a little slow and boggy? Big tip check your air filter! I took mine off one day, after months of internet searching and Haynes repair manual reading, and wallah!! Presto! instant horse.....Got a K&N and man does it ever run. Almost brand new! Don't ever judge an air filter by it looks clean cuz it probably isn't. Hope that helps someone out. Now a little advice please...I plan on putting an Unorthodox underdrive pulley in my engine but have heard complaints on low energy because of the smaller pulley. Stock the 2000 Neon has an 83 AMP alternator, right. Why not just replace it with a 125 wat alternator. Would that solve the problem? Reason I ask is because I have two 10" Warren G subs, Power Acoustik 1200w, with 1.2 capacitor and the lower electicity will shut me down, unless the alternator thing will work. Even though the alternator is turning slower with a 125amp alternator it shouldn't mater right?
