Bleck, I just read NJ's driving law...theres a course you can take at 16, but the instructor has to buy your permit thing, and then he keeps it unless you're practice driving. At your 17th b-day, its good for another 9 months or so, but you can take your road test on or after your 17th b-day. Still restricted to "practice" driving with only a licensed driver of 3 years can be with you. At 18 it doesnt matter. License, anyone.
I hope this shit goes back to the way it was before Jan. 1, 2001 If not, at least change some of it to be nicer to us younger people who sadly couldnt be 16 on or before 1-1-01!!
