i wanted you guys to check this... out....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2435707168
i've heard alittle about it on the civic forum last year, but what do you guys think about it. i'm sure theres a difference. its a lot cheaper that a real clutch lsd, but around the same price as the vlsd from a 300zx. what would you do? do you think the vlsd is better? ohhh, by the way, what was nissans product code for the vlsd in the 300zx, r??? and also, how does this product work? i'm just curious. |

The diff's code is R200. When the plates on the phantom grip are under spring tension, it causes them to twist in opposite directions and wedge outward on the spider gears. That will cause friction between the spider gears and the diff case which will then cause the wheels to turn at the same speed. The only thing I don't like about to phantom grip is that when the plates are twisting, they are putting pressure on the spider gears which could cause them to break. I haven't heard of this happening yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Many people I know use it and absolutely love it for the price they paid.
