Question 99 Regal GS Climate Control is really dim !?

I can't see what temp I'm setting my climate control to. Is there a fix for this? Or do I need to just buy an all new climate control head unit? I did find a walkthrough how to fix it on the internet, but I'm not so sure about it... You guys can check it out and tell me what you think:

Try their forums. They might know of some sort of fix for it. Good Luck!

I have always replaced the whole control head for this problem.

You could always try calling GM customer assistance and see if they are willing to help with the cost of a new head!

Some say thier is a fix. Wires apparently come loose in the back, and need to be sodered. GM will replace the entire unit.

This Climate Control Unit is lousy at best. I do not know of ONE person who hasn't had to have this replaced at some time. Mine occurred with 37k.
