Do some searches. This is way to general a question or at least be more specific, NA, FI, franken motors, true Honda motors?

Untill you have to keep filling the bottle.

If you want to beat some 5.0's + lightly modded 5.0's a B16 or B18C + turbo would be a nice choice, invest in a good EMS, and 300 WHP should let you take any of em with just bolt ons.

There's no way that he can get 300 whp with a b16 + EMS. With the b18c + turbo, it's more probable, but you'd have to run about 12 pounds of boost, and you might need to upgrade internals on a b18c to handle that much.

a stock 5.0 mustang will go down to a lightly modded b16.

a 300whp civic will blow doors off of vette's and svt's.

He said a boosted B16 or B18 and yes you can EASILY get 300 whp from a boosted B16.

He would definitely have to build the engine to get 300whp and thats to much money. He wants the cheapest way.
I had a 1.6 single cam without Vtech running 15.4 with basic bolt-ons.
-MSD
-COLD AIR INTAKE
-HEADER
-EXHAUST
-FUEL REGULATOR
-CAM GEAR (WASNT EVEN ADJUSTED)
And a clutch

Nobody beleived it was stock.
Now I have a ZC on boost.

Do all the basics like I did. Once you finish that, move up and do bigger & better things like boost or spray.
Mustangs arent really hard to take. Yes they have power but they are too heavy. We have the weight advantage.
Remember its all about horsepower to weight ratio.
