94' civic ex...add more hp?

ok.... im pretty sure that the 94' civic ex's come wit a vtec that is 125 hp or similar. i have a stick shift and i seroiusly need to add horsepower and punch. it sounds like i drive a weed wacker wen i accelerate!

i guess you can consider me a noob but can someone just please take the patience to give me some tips,clues, hints, etc.... to help me out?

i dont wanna change the whole engine, or do anything drastic... just some small, not so expensive, and good mods that will make my car sound like its decent and not from the aluminum factory.

please....?



p.s. i love hondas... dont get me wrong wen i say my car sounds like shit... its just that compared to an rsx type s it sounds like crap... but its runnin so nice! just wanted to kick it up a notch, add some hp and make it more powerful!

my friend said not to get performance parts in my car cuz everyone would laugh at me .

heh.... im not tryin to race... i jus want it to sound a bit better... and go a bit faster.

how much would all that stuff cost? jus to get an idea?

Laugh at your friend once you're beating the hell out of him--and anyone else who'd dare laugh at you for that matter. Do what you think would make you happy, not what others would think of you. So if you want to add performance parts, then go ahead.

and as far as sound goes, choose wisely when you get your cat back exhaust, that will have the biggest impact on sound
