I have a 93 gs-r all i have so far is
17 motegi mrm rims
one peice jdm projector headlights
and 10.3 mm wires and bosch platinum +4 plugs (prolly get rid of them soon)

hopefully by the end of the month i'll have dc sports headers , high flow cat, and a custom piped exhaust

I really want an injen air intake but am having some problems fining one that fits my car with abs (still havent decided between cai and sri)I live in central new york and i don't want to hydrolock my engine and i've been hearing bad things about bypass valves lately. so i may go with sri

if needed i am also getting a racing clutch and aluminum flywheel(not sure yet)

then after i see what that does for me I may upgrade the fuel system and ignition system

I just got a 2000 LS AT (if it was up to me I would've gotten a 5-speed). The thing is completely stock. It had to be a 2000 cause I heard that the auto trannys on any older models were trash, any insights on this? Anyways, I'm thinkin about dropping a DRAG kit in it. Any suggestions?

91 integra

I'm gettin a 1991 integra hopefully from a guy for $300 as soon as he gets the title, it needs new master cylinder, it burns oil so im tryin to find out what a good engine that is fast for it is, needs new front wind sheild cuz has a crack, it also needs muffler on it which i plan to get a flowmaster. and i will most likely swap it from a auto to manuel later on down the road when i have money and feel ive gottin everything i want so far on there. i plan to go to tech school my last two years of highschool and then customize my car with what i learn there im gunna gut out interior and do abit of draw boarding and do what i think will look nice i want it to be a show car but be able to waste alot of people but first of all definately not gonna be a rice machine...

Re: Integras

Look, Compression is your friend. You have it backwards, you have to retard your ignition timing when you raise compression. (in some casses)
You dont have to use 91 octane all of the time, you car is tuned from the factory to run on 87 octane. Using 91 octane will actually slow your car down if you dont raise your compression because it burns slower. I also have experience with nitrous, I have easily gotten away with running a 75 shot on a stock motor with the ignition timing advanced because of the aftermarket chip! I also used my stock 240cc injectors. Granted I raised fuel pressure to 55psi but it worked fine. Dont be afraid to mill the head if your looking for extra bang for your buck. As long as you advance your cam gears 1 degree for every 12 thou. you take off of the head. You will not run into problems unless you run alot bigger cams or bigger valves which require larger valve reliefs. I have seen a guy mill his head 60 thousandths!!! He also grinded down his valve seats to "sink" the valves into the head to make more room for the valves. Im porting an ls head that I reworked the combustion chambers fully and I also milled the head 40 thou. I will be running 75 shot on that head with no problems. So please people, if you arent sure what youre talking about please dont give advise, you might cost someone their engine. If you run nitrous dont go above 11:1cr. Ive never blown a head gasket either... BTW, block guards suck, it trapps too much heat at the top of the sleeves and can lead to detonation.

Don't increase the compression (shaving/milling head), your pistons are not built for it and have you seen gas prices lately ? You will have to advance your timing to avoid detonation and use premium ALL OF THE TIME !! $2.00 - $3.00 a gallon ain't nice....

NOS is not friendly to increased compression either, when Nos enters your piston chamber, it continues to expand read: increased compression ontop of what you already will do to the head.... Ever blow a head gasket ?

A 50 shot to a stock engine should be OK, depending on the condition of the engine....you should prep it for nos and if you could get everything you want......a block guard would be nice.....

Okay, okay, loud and clear. Indeed, to the newbies, check your user guidelines (they are linked in my sig below). Leave the old threads closed. Open a new thread, and you can even link it to the old thread if you wish, but make a fresh start so long after the old thread has been dormant. Thank you.
