I want an Integra GSR sedan pretty bad, but I have never driven one, nor have I really looked at any other cars since I have been trying to buy a used car. I have found an Integra GSR that is 300 miles away from me and it looks really nice. I was wondering if it would be stupid for me to drive 300 miles to buy the Integra with out even having driven one before. Also, where I live it is hard to find a car you like. I haven't found any Integra GSRs for sell in my town.

Ok, forget what I said, sorry. Stupid question. My new question is if I have say $9000 and I wanted an Integra, would it be better if I:
1) bought an Integra GSR and just left it the way it was...didn't do any mods or anything...or 2) bought an Integra LS and put a turbo in it. What I want is a descently fast car that gets good gas mileage. Would that be impossible if I had a turbo charged Integra...wouldn't I need premium gas or something for that...or? I'm a newb. Also is there any way to delete any of your past threads in these forums? |

scroll down on the topic page an u'll find "Ls vs GSR" or something of that manner.
as for ur question, the ls turbo will be faster than a stock gsr, but overall the gsr's b18c1 motor has more potential IF ur willing to spend some money on it. the greatest advantage to the b18b1 motor is the fact that it has a lower compression ratio w/ longer gears, making it an ideal motor (atleast of honda motors) for a turbo set-up. the gsr motor simply can't run as much boost as the ls, stock for stock.

well a GSR would be the better buy to just start off with but the boosted LS obviously end up being quicker than a stock GSR. Even though i own a GSR, my vote is for the LS and boost it.

Go GS-R. I love my sedan, I suggest that if you want to know what one feels like to test drive a 4dr Civic EX and drive it hard down a big hill.... that's probably the closest thing that you'll find.

going down hard on a big hill? kinda degrading if u ask me, most cars can come down pretty fast, going up a big hill now thats a different story.
with ur question, i say ls and boost all the way. another good thing also is when its time to replace the motor, its only like $600-900 compared to 2 1/2 to 4 g's for the b18c
