What about the Grand National?

I've looked through the Buick forum, and it seems that no one has ever mentioned the Grand National. Considering it looks like the typical Regals, it's extremely cofortable. Especially considering that the 86 T-Type has a turbo charged 231 V-6. For its size and displacement, does an excellent job of 0-60 in 4.9, and 0-120 in 33.1. It runs the 1/4 mile in 13.9 stock, and for about $1500, you can make it run low 12's, or high 11's(depending on 'who you know'). I'm just wondering why no one has discused this beautiful beast sooner.

Its been mentioned lots of times, in the regal forum, which is where this thread is going to be moved. It seems the GN has quite a following, myself included. My avatar is the regal turbo badge, incase you havent noticed.

as far as i am conserned the '86-'87 GN was the best g body car that came out of GM there are not too many cars out there that can do what the turbocharged 3.8l can do for the money. I have 800$ in my setup and I run mid 12's all day on street tires pumpgas and an open rearend. while maintaining all streetcar functions (A/C,cruise,powerlocks,sterio, etc.) while maintaing full weight (3,690lbs with me in it). plus on top of that i get 24 miles to the gallon and full coverage insurance only costs me 50$ a month they are hard running cars. The GN's have quite a following www.turbobuick.com is the forum for turbochard buicks if you have anymore questions.
