Homemade Sound Systems

Does anybody know how to make or have tutorials on SOUND SYSTEMS? like how do make subwoofers, sub BOXES, AMPS, what GUAGE wires to use, anything of that sort because the ones at the hoby shop are charging way tooo much for just subs and i really need this for my LOWRIDERS. i would highly appreciate it if anybody has PICS and would post them of homemade sound systems

THANX IN ADVANCE

The boxes can be made with styrene sheets, I actually made one. The hardest part to make will probably be the sub-woffers. But I used some type of headlight housing for those, but it would be a lot better if you could make them yourself!

There is a couple of ways of making audio/video (ICE) systems.. it starts off with a head unit for the dash board (1) a couple of amps (2) and some woofer/bosex (3)

1- In dash radios have come a long way.. Detail Master has some photoetch faces that include cd players and equalizers. I also began making head us display units that have decals of DVD movies, to show working movies... The way to do this is easy, its actualy a square half inch of plat sheet styrene, attach it to a protruding 3mm sturene stock and paint it black or silver and you have a heads up unit like so:\

and of course you can do it "in dash" by opening up a whole in the dahs and puting clear styrene and placing a sticker in the back of the clear styrene and you have an in dash system:

and

2 - amps... come in different shapes and sizes.. most can be built easily by placing small strips of styrene on a square styrene plastic block...

lpaint chrome and viola:

3- Speakers... cheap speaker systems, various sizes and funcitons can be found at Hoppin Hydros...

I have not found any home made remedy to making cheap woofers... may be resin???

Where is Flyonthewall where we need him???
