Better 959 model?
Which kit is better Gunze or Tamiya?
both 1:24 plastic

The Gunze kit represents the pre production version, and unless you want to model that particular version, Tamiya is much much better. Nice flat 6, better wheels and tires and lots more.
Gunze also made the Rothmans rally version, and the decal might be useful, but not the rest.

They had one in my local hobby shop, but someone had stolen a whole parts tree! SO that was that!
Quite a rare kit now! I can't get them here!
But I thought the 959 was a damn ugly car to be honest!

Technically speaking it was outstanding car in Porsche's history
and I always wanted model of it...
As for outer appearance... it looks ugly becouse disproportional
wide fenders but some shots are very nice!

Long time ago I just allow myself to buy 1/24 only, but now I found that was so wrong! :hehe:

Scales
Previously I collected 1/18 die-cast models (Burago and UT)
and after 4 models I stopped. NO ROOM to keep them was
primary issue. Too expensive to have many of them too.
Also I had collection of 1/43. Small, inexpensive but poorly
detailed. So 1/24 seems to me more attractive

I have a 1/43rd collection.
Nice in that you can get almost anything, but the size is a bit restrictive!
Have some nice models though, again all built me!
