turbo charging theory for 2gen lude DX

i saw an episode of super tuner tv(the one with the VW dyno date) and i asked myself "if a 4 barrel VW 4cyl can be turbo charged why not a 4 barrel honda 4cyl"

so i looked at the exhuast manifold on my 2egn DX lude(which has 2 2-barrel carbs) and it already has what looks like half of a turbo manifold. on the exhuast manifold is a little hose that goes frome the exhuast manifold to the air intake, my friends say it's for fuel economy. so i was thinking of going to the salvage yard and picking up a 1gen mistsu eclipse turbo and maybe the intercooler and then trying to hook it up, but the only problem i see with it is where is the turbo exhuast going to go, but then i was thinking of doing it like a dragster. i.e. having the exhuast from the turbo come out the side behind the tire hidden back under the car.

i think it should work but i don't know though. plus i don't have the cash to do it.
