i don't think the thread starter knows what he is talking about...he just called the GT3 slow....

To my understanding the GT3's base price is $99,999 [url=http://fast-autos.net/porsche/porschegt3.html]

where as the 360's base price is $152,000 [url=http://fast-autos.net/ferrari/ferrari360.html]

So clearly the gt3 doesn't aply to this thread.
And the GT3 is slower and cheaper then the 996 turbo (not by much)

first of all, the GT3 is THE FASTEST TRACK CARof these 3 porsche's, thats all there is to it, #2 i'm almost sure the price you have is wrong, but even if it weren't the point is it laps faster then the turbo versions.

i checked and the price is right but i totally agree with you the GT3 is a pure track car and faster than its more expensive siblings.

if that guy would know anything he would know that the AWD version are slower and were designed for rich snoby people that could not handle the RWD 911's.

this is similar to the maranelo and modena. the modena is much cheaper and has way less HP and torque but it will smoke the maranello over a track because the maranelo is a grand touring car while the modena is a track car.

The 911 GT1 was produced in very small numbers as a road car- Very few ever sold though

bleh, the Carrera GT is now the fastest track porsche, and the 2003 GT3 is an awesome machine that can beat the ferrari both on and off the track

Well and I'd put my 928 s4 against a stock 360 any day
