Garrett T3 Turbo on Type S

ok, i have just bought a new garrett T3 turbo for my RSX Type S. I also bought an Apex'i VAFC II i-VTEC controller. the VAFC is definately going in, but now im debating the turbo (perhaps a bit late). I have never installed a turbo, nor do i plan to install this one. what i want to know is how much should installation cost (i have no turbo plumbing, BOV, or intercooler, just the unit) and what Blow Off Valve should i get, and also what intercooler? this will be my first turbo'd vehicle and i dont know much abt the process, so any help here would be greatly appreciated.

First thing, if you planing to put the turbo in, you dont' need the VAFC, because the Turbo will kicking sooner then the vafc, and why u didn't buy the full turbo kit, I had my T3/T4 in my RSX i spend about $7000, with HKS F-con Vpro. HKS BOV,

first of all i bought just the turbo unit itself for 300 in great condtn, and second, i got the VAFC II first for 300 as well. while i know the plumbing, ext. wastegate, intercooler etc is yet to come, im hopeful i can do this with a minimum investment (i dont need heavy boost), though thx for the info abt the VAFC. so you think i should sell it and just turbo, or do both since i have them? like i said, im a novice here so i dont really know turbo options well. where did you get your piping and i/c from? how much did it cost? how much boost are you running? (i figure 5-7 should be enough for me, i have done some compressor maps at least). also, is a high flow catalytic converter worth the money? (i already have a 60mm cat back but not installed.) i know that unlike N/A cars turbo cars need no backpressure.
thx, K Takimoto

First thing, Nihonjin? If you going N/A keep the VAFC, if you going Turbo sale the VAFC, I brought the whole turbo kit cost about $3000, but don't forget, you'll still need Fuel Mngmt system. and they cost around $1000. plus all other things like meters, turbo timer etc... I'm running @ 9lbs right now, i do want to go higher. My best bet is get your intake, and Cams gears, Camshafts, port and polish your intake manifold, bigger throttle body, do a head job, built up your motor before you put the turbo in. Because you dont want to blow it up. ok...~!~
