Port Material for Sub Box?

Hey,
I built a sealed box for my 10 inch sub a while ago, and now want to add a 15 incher to my car. However, I'm going to build a ported box this time, and was just wondering:
1) Is there a certain type of piping you should use for the port?
2) Does it matter where the port is in the box in relation to the driver?

Thanks!!

Actually, I pretty much listen to equal amounts of rock, and rap, but because my 10 incher performs just fine for the rock, I'm more concerned about rap for my 15.

Get a 12 that handles lows, I wouldn't go ported with a 15 even for rap, I would still go sealed

I Agree. I Would Say Use A 12 Instead.sealed Boxes Are Way Better Overall. I Cant Recall The Last Time I Installed A Ported Reflex Enclosure. Nobody Ever Requests Them Nemore. They Require Some Tuning In Order To Get The Right Sound.there Is A Formula To Find Out What Kind You Would Need. I Know Radioshack Can Special Order A Port For You But Cant Tell You How To Fab Your Box. 15's Require Some Good Power .ofcourse It Depends On The Type Of Sub Your Using And The Dynamics Of Your Application. 12's Are Quite Versitile When It Comes To Listening To A Wide Variety Of Musik. There Are Many Good Ones Out There. If You Still Decide You Want To Go With A 15, Go With A Sealed Enclosure. That's What I Recomend.
