performance half shafts?
just wondering if anyone has ever came across a performance half shaft for a honda accord? Seems like a part that could free up some drivetrain hp?

i was looking for some recently but couldnt find any.
do you know if this will transfer more hp to the wheels? it seems like it wouldnt because the "performance" aspect of a performance drive shaft refers to its ability to withstand more power/abuse than stock. now if someone made a lightweight shaft i could see how this might help reduce rotational mass and thus carry more positive inertia to the wheels. but ive heard of no such thing....respond if you know. thanks |

I know that they make them for all kinds of cars...I was just not sure of the honda accord area. It isnt very popular. The shafts are more durable (sp) but, I also have seen a few that were lighter than OEM. This makes me think about performance. Thats why I was asking because I really dont know if it is signif. power gain. Most of the time, like you said...they were made for a lot of hp. The kind that would snap stock shafts like a twig in a winter ice storm.
