GSR eats alot of GAS!!!

Do I really need to buy or get an ECU($300.00 plus) or Ebay ECU($15.00) just to fix my fuel problem???? In this rate, if I fill my gas tank too many times in a week....by 2005 I could have bought a REAL ECU...What should I do and is there anything I can do to avoid refueling my gas tank 2 to 3 times a week???

yea it does depend how much you drive and the vtec kick in, i know when i hit and im bout 2 cm's off empty, with the vtec kickin in it will put my light on, you can even watch the gauge, it does it almost instantly.
on a regular, i can drive bout 220-250 miles b4 refilling.

And thats the exact reason why you get shitty gas mileage.

in my RS with I/H/E I took it to redline many times a day and got god mileage still. I didnt have the extra air/fuel in there from vtec but I dont think you should fill up 2-3 times a week.

i get about 250 miles to a tank in my gs-r and i hit vtec all the time (every shift!!!!) even on city streets when i'm not accelerating i cruise at like 5000 in a low gear just so when i tap the gas i can feel the pull( feels great!!!!) and my car has 151,000 miles on it.

i dont think its too good sitting at 5k for long periods of time, I do that with my civic every once in a while too, I just take off slowly til it is at the RPMs to where if I step on it it looks fast, if I take of from a stop sign and then stomp it it is embarassing how damn slow but loud it is.
