International Manx Rally
To my suprise, when watching The Manx International Rally, I saw BTCC ace James Thompson driving a rally car (and crashing it). Ithought he was in the BTCC?

Yes, he is in the BTCC, second in the championship at the moment. But he also does an occasional rally, and getting better every time.

It's not unusual for drivers from one discipline to do swap overs for the occasional fun in another.
Mika Hakkinen has hopped in a Rally car and he was an F1 driver, Valentino Rossi is a GP bike rider and has hopped in a rally car on occasion too.
