15s or 16s... looking for perfornmance

I'm looking for performance. I see a lot of tires start their sizes at 16, but I always thought smaller was better. Are there any advantages to having bigger (16s) rims? Which size would you recommend of the two. Also, I'm planning on getting the Rota Slipstreams with some Falken or Nitto Tires. Thanks

The lighter rims would generally be better for performance. Having 16s instead of 15s won't make much of a difference, you might lose 3-4 mph off your top speed. Choosing 15s over 18s would do a lot, but 16s won't hurt too much. I have 16s on my car and I top out at about 135 whereas I could hit 140 with my stock 14s.

Lightweight 14's or 15's would be best for performance. The only good thing about the(lightweight) 16's is a shorter sidewall - which means less tire flex.

Heavier rims will reduce performance

Good choice Lightweight 16''s are the best because you get good looks, and you still keep good performance.
