Hey i want to 'build' my own cupdiffusor on a vtec rear bumper but i don`t wanna spend my money on a new one. Does someone has ideas or knows what parts i can use to make one??? I`ve tried to buy a used one, but i`m living in the Netherlands so its rather difficult to become one. A new one is not in my interest don`t have too much money. Not sure what you mean by cup diffuser... I know that a diffuser is basically just holes in the rear bumper to let air through, but not sure what you mean by "cup"...

Basically, what I would do in that situation is cut some holes in the bumper using a Dremel tool, and then add some expanded steel mesh behind the holes...

Well, that's very similar to what I was trying to describe, but it looks like the entire stock bumper is intact, and just another fiberglass piece added...

Should be pretty easy to make out of fiberglass actually...

an easy way to do that would be to buy like the WW bumper, and cut the mesh out of it, then run your exhuast through it, im sure thats not what that guy did, but its an idea.

or ive seen people use styrofoam, mold it into the shape they want, then fiberglass over it, you can try that.

Yeah, that's like how they make surfboards. I had thought about doing stuff like that for fiberglass. Was going to go to a boating/dock supply shop and pick up a big ass piece of foam (like the foam they use for Pontoons on docks) and carving it into a shape and then laying fiberglass over it. Still might do some stuff like that.

I also bought some of that expanding foam insulation which comes in an aresol can, and when you spray it out, it expands and then hardens, so I was trying to use that stuff to make molds of some of the interior pieces in the car. Like I was going to make some rear speaker-pods, so I sprayed a bunch of that stuff in a little nook and let it harden and covered it with fiberglass... Only problem was that as the foam expands, it doesn't hold the proper shape unless it's forced to, or unless it sticks to the surface, but I used PVA mold release so that I wouldn't have a big foam glob stuck to the panel... Anyways, didn't turn out that great, but food for thought.
