concerning turbos...will s15 turbo on s13
hey guys...i was just curious...i forget which turbos are on which but will the s15 or s14 factory turbos bolt directly on the s13 redtop sr20det motor? if so do you guys think if i could swap turbos from my motor distributor and get the s15 turbo to come with my s13 engine package a better deal than factory s13 turbo?

s-15 t-28
s-13 t-25 the t-25 and the t-28 both dosn't make more then 18psi, 16psi for the t-25.. i think i directly bolts up you might have to geta new turbo flang tho.. not to sure.. i personally would say stick with the t-25 and the when you upgrade upgrade to something good! 1

Flange is the same and will bolt up.
The angle of the intercooler pipe is different. It closely resembles the one off a CA18DET. You can get adapter plates in Japan to vary the angle. Over here, I don't know. You might have to custom it. |

I personally think its a very worthwhile upgrade if your on a budget as the S15 turbo is a roller bearing type and the S13 turbo is plain bearing. A friend of mine bolted the S15 T-28 to his S13 Silvia and is running a measly 14 psi and the car is significantly quicker. Also the S15 turbo is a much stronger item.
