Ok I am looking to turbocharge a 1986 CA20(E) non-turbo engine. I have a pretty good understanding of the whole process of turbocharging.
Now my problem is I have heard that this particular engine is not designed for boost. So that leaves me with two questions 1.What is needed to make this engine an engine that can accept spme boost. 2.If there is nothign you can do how much boost psi do you think it can handle, without damageing the engine. I would prefer to go with option number one, because I am about to open the engine up and rebuild it, so while I'm here I might as well make it an engine that can accept some boost |

then it's ok (the compression ratio)... SR20DET has the same ratio (original 200sx turbo engine).
