As Ray correctly pointed out it was built in Belfast by a company called Harland and Wolfe. H&W were a British ship building company who only employed protestant loyalists in those days. So to be correct it was the British that built the Titanic.

If I was a real conspiracy theroist then I would say that the British delibrately build the Titanic to sink if it looked at an Iceberg the wrong way just so they could kill off a few more Irish people.
