Unless you can get a GREAT deal on the itr, get the ctr. I bought my b16b for $4k, and on the same site they had b18c5's for $5900. $1900 for 10 more hp, same redline, and a little more torque isn't worth it to me. Both are rare mofo's, and you'll be happy with either one... I know I am.
Either way, be prepared to either replace your wimpy DX brakepads every month, or upgrade them to larger slotted/drilled rotors and bigger calipers. |

Forget the C5 and get the J spec ITR motor. The B16B is badass but it's not the hp you pay for with the B18C, it's the trq.

JDM ITR - 200hp, 134tq
JDM CTR - 185hp, 118tq http://inlinefour.com/motors.html The 15hp and 16tq gains from ctr to itr are pretty noticable, even moreso in a lightweight Civic. If you can afford the itr engine, go for it. |
