Intakes

I was considering replacing my stock intake n my 96 Maxima and I read a post where the guy says that the only noticeable change is the sound. Being that I have an automatic is there any truth in this? Shouldn't the gas mileage get better also?

You will not be as fast off the line but will gain at the top end and yes, you will be louder. As far as gas mileage I don't know.

Hey man, I just put a POP charger on my 95 auto max last night, and I could tell a huge difference. It's pretty loud at about 4000 rpm and up but, really quiet for normal driving. I think my cas milage will improve, but nothing drastic. The throttle response got tons better too. I thought my maxima was slow, but it sure feels a hell of a lot quicker now. Hope this helps ya out.
