I heard that there was going to be an IS 430 in the works. It's supposed to have 305hp and there might even be a supercharged version. Does anyone have any info on this?? :silly2:

if the link doesn't work just copy and paste the last line, but that only took me like 30 seconds to find, you should try and look for stuff and do you own research before you ask, cadillac is doing this too, but they're putting a bigger V-8 in their CTS, i think its the corvette engine about 400hp??

An IS430 would be a really sweet machine.
But I bet the price would match the 300-hp.
Some of us are too poor for M3 prices.

i was told by the lexus dealer that the 2005 is430 come stock with 320hp 6spd transmission, and it will be offered in a sedan and a coupe and they will still price the car around 35-40gs

I don't think the v8 will be for this generation's Lexus IS. The current IS has been around for quite a while, so its model cycle is almost up. It would be unreasonable for Toyota to spend the R&D and marketing for a v8 trim that would only be produced for only a year or two. I think the IS430 photos we have seen are photos of a mule of some sort.
