New Brake, Noise?
I have a 1997 BMW 740i, I recently installed new brakes, pad and rotors. I have a noise coming from the front brakes. When the brakes are applied I hear a intermitant rubbing sound as the car stops (vibrating).
Any reason for the noise? I thought the rotor was warpped, but replace them and still the same noise but quiter then the first rotor. What have I done wrong? Help please. Thanks |

Assuming you broke the brakes in following your brake pad manufacturer's recommendation, what was your old pad? What was your new pad?
If you switched from a ceramic pad to an agressive semi-metallic pad this may explain or even from an OEM pad to an agressive semi-met pad this may explain the noise. |
