Whats the best...

What would you guys say is a good brand for speakers/amps/subs? How much would u say one of these goes for? I'm new to the whole car-soupe up idea, and im getting some idea/prices for my soon-to-be car.

It all depends on your budget. I mean if you want some good speakers you can get the focal utopia components, but those will run you over a grand for a pair. What are you planning on spending and then we might be able to help you.

for good speaker brands check out

focal
mb quart
boston acoustics
infinity perfect

subs there are so many choices I'll just list a few

elemental designs
JL audio
adire

u can put together your own component set. i like peerless for midbass, vifas and scan speaker for their midrange, and tweeter? tweeters i don't use but good ones are morel. of course there are more brands out there. CDT speakers are nice, very nice. i had them back awhile ago and i was very impressive. look into the Stereo Integrity components. pricey, but very nice.

From personal experience, I would recommend Alpine and Pioneer for head units, JL Audio for subs, and Fosgate for amps.
But listen to GSteg.... for a 15 year old, that kid knows his car audio shit.

that would be nice

if i had known you earlier, i would have hooked u up with things for cheap since my friend is a dealer for may brands.

price i could have gotten it for

alpine deck-400
infinity component-250
2 w7 (12")-800 for both
2 bd1000-700 both (heck..800 for the bd1500)
2 farad caps-200
dynamat-not sure on how much u got
viper-not sure what model
wiring-knukonceptz has everything cheap. lol
neon-don't know how much u got, but u can get cold cathrodes for about $5 per stick and looks much better than neons

but if you're happy with it, then its fine. thats a very nice system right there. those w7's are very loud. by the way...does your headlights dim?

If I had that much money, I would get some of Diamond audio's most powerful 15s or some audiobahn immortals, then maybe a few pheonix gold amps, or a few DEIs

yea..diamonds are supposedly very nice. my friend had a 12" TDX, but it blew just last week or so. it was hooked up to an arc audio 1500D. dont' know why the tdx blew. he now has an xxx. but he did say it sounded nice when it worked.lol
