brakes... question..

sorry if this is a bit off topic, but i was wondering if it was posible to upgrade to 4 wheel discbraking, from 2... like from front wheel braking to all wheel braking..

i really want to know if that is possible.. and if it is possible, is it a wise investment...

the IS300 has got some insanely big brakes (for a japanese import) its even got 2 piston calipers in the rear!!! anyways the way most cars are set up, there is a base model with drums in the back, then there is the highend model were the disk are set up. basically what you most likely gotta do is change the rear hub, to the disk brake hubs, then get caliper bracket, and get teh caliper. they should all bolt right in. then you just gotta hook up the original brake line to the caliper instead of the wheel cylinder of the drum. the only think that you gotta change is hte E brake cable. casue the lenght will not be the same.

Don't forget about the p-valve.. most rear drum/disc conversions use different valves

just asking for my friends rav4...
and as you guys might know i am trying to get a 1990 240 base model.. only rear brakes soo.. thinking if i do get it.. put all wheel braking in... ... i think.. lol

and the is300 stops like a beauty.. not doing anything to it, keeping it stock.. dumb ricers ruining 300s like no tomorrow around here... the IS is actually my dad/brothers, but i drive it most of the time..

most cars come with 4 wheel disc brakes. even trucks are starting to do it. older cars...like 95 and lower have a higher chance of the front/disc rear/drum. not 240's though
