"Type R" is a name on a product that Honda sells. The people that catch flak are the ones that try to simulate an ITR.

If your car is truely customized, why don't you just call it a "Custom Integra?"

A Type R is more than just engine and tranny. It's all round ability which includes suspension work, chassis works, interior work and exterior work.

You can buy everything that is needed to turn your car into a Type R however it is much cheaper to buy one in the first place.

man trust me I know that there is a lot more to it than just a engine and transmission...I am also doing custom suspension and jdm conversion and custom paint job on the whole car..I am also in the process of creating custom interior as well...almost none of that car will be what it started as, and 90% will be better than Type-R, the other 10% will be equivelent to Type-R...theonly part of the engine that is really going to be left is the head and the crankshaft all the rest will be aftermarket anywayz...but I have the F-Max Turbo kit and an LSD and new suspension and ECU and all that stuff that made Type-R's better...I think I will have to go with what Jay said and call it a Custom Integra...

Turbo type-R:
hahaha...do u know that real Type-R's have ligher glass all round?..and also the sound sheilds etc are all taken off?..look man.u have an heavily modified GS-R...but unless u have a factory build type-R..then it's a Type-R..either then that..the car was made as a GS-R...so even if u made it handle and look and feel like a type-R...it's still a GS-R..no matter what u do..it's stilla GS-R..u can make it look like and make ppl believe it's a Type-R...but in reality..it still isn't..

I just don't like the word "hybrid" because I think of IMA...

yeah man I know all the stupid little differences that supposidly make Type-Rs better...all I care about is seeing you guys would call it a Type-R after what I am doing...I really don't because I know it is better than a Type-R...I just wanted to see what everyone else's opinion was about that kind of stuff...but the thing is it isn't a GS-R at that point...after I do the conversion to the JDM Integra Type-R there won't be any of the body left the same either...I am telling you everything that is GS-R won't be there anymore by the time I am done...Already the engine is not GS-R any of it...It has all been replaced by either Type-R stuff or better...the only Type are stuff I have on it is a crank shaft and the Tranny and the valve cover...everything else is aftermarket and better...but you can call it whatever you want, I just wanted to see what people who actually knew what I was doing would call it...thanks to all of you who donated your opinions...even those of you who just thing I am an idiot that doesn't know anything about GS-Rs or Type-Rs but I assure you it is far from the truth

Why can't you just say "Good luck with your Integra." and leave it at that?
