nOOb to "customizing"

Whats going on fellow diecasters? Just searching the web and ran accross this diecast site and thought I would register and say hello, so hello. Glad to see that I am not the only one with modeling glue runnin through the ol' veins.

I currently own about 200+ 1/18 diecast vehicles ranging from trucks to high performance sports cars. I have done a few mods to 1/18 diecast before myself. Mainly just tire/wheel swaps with light chassis modifications. I currently just finished a tire/wheel swap mod on a 69 Camaro. It turned out very well, when I get a chance I will post some pics.

It was nice replying here, but I feel my Xbox needs some attention. lol
I will be back later with pics to share.

Why yes I do!

Here is a pic of some of the cars that I presently have displayed. I have around 160 or so in the closet boxed up. I have yet to decide how to display this large of a diecast collection.

Here is a pic of a 1/18 kit 69 Camaro. I have replaced the wheels/tires with a five spoke cross drilled rotor combo. The tires came off a TVR Speed 12 and the exhaust has also been replaced with the pipes off of the TVR. I have also removed the tag bracket from the front of the car. The car has also been lowered, giving it more of an aggressive stance.

This is a pic of a 1/18 HOTWHEELS PT Cruiser. It is all stock except for the wheels that you see. The rims that originaly came on it were grey and did not do anything for the car at all. I am very pleased with the combo I chose to use. It has been kept at its standard ride height.

Thanks for the comments guys. I just wish I had a better camera to show the true detail of the cars. These pics go no where near showing them nor doing them justice. I just have completed a 02' 1/18 Harley Davidson F-150 Super Crew Pickup. I am fixin to get started on the 01' Harley edition. Its amazing what a little free time and fast drying glue will accomplish.

Wow! so many replies.

Just thought I would throw in a couple pics of my newly completed 02' 1/18 Harley Davidson F-150 Super Crew Pickup. It turned out rather nice to be my first 1/18 truck "kit."

Wow, the 01' edition went together a lot faster than the 02'.

The 01' is the same as the 02' except the body color is black with lower accent stripes.
