I have been reading for over 2 weeks now on how to build a b20,ls,cr/vtec motor and I seem to be going around in circles.
So guys puttin' all the small talk aside... At the end of the day,we as honda lovers know that we have one of the best motors in the world, but more can be done. this is what we're looking for... the torque of the b20b rod stroke ratio of 1.74:1 (B16A) or nearest and a hi rev of no less then 8200 daily (most B series motors) so guys i put this to you cuz if we are goin tuh build a B series motor, then pull the best of every one of these motors plus what the aftermarket has for us and build a true Frankenstein. So guys... how do we do this? We talk about doing the B series Frankenstein Right... kester |

that is a very good question... the rod stroke ratio is possible I think I recall reading you use a b17 crank to destroke the motor, so you no longer have a 2 liter, also, getting the correct custom rods would be needed. supposedly any b series head will work, but the b18c is best? (don't recall) vtec oil lines must be run, have to be careful about timing advance to stop valves from hitting pistons, or you could get pistons that have deeper valve reliefs to solve the problem
sounds like a long and tedious job but it sure would be satisfying to get it all done and have a very strong and long lasting motor you could be proud of
