Angry I need help with this decision

Ok i have a 1995 Honda civic sedan (auto) and I need your help to decide what I should do. I want to do a b16a2 swap with auto to manual conversion. What I want yall to do is to tell me if I should keep this car and go ahead as planned or should I sell this car and get a 5th or 6th gen coupe ( I like hatchies but thier just not for me) EX manual transmission and then go ahead with the swap because I know it's no picnic doing an auto to manual conversion and I could do the swap myself it's just the auto to manual conversion so I would have to pay someone to do it... So what do yall think give me lots of feed back please.. And if i sell the car should I get a 5th or 6th gen civic I do kinda want a 96 or higher then i could make it look like an Si... And one more question are all 96+ civics that are ex 1.6 sohc v-tec ( not a rookie I spelled it right) if so y don't they say it appreciate the help!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes its vtec and yes all the 1.6l ex civics are sohc vtecs.

anyway you'd be better off to sell your car and find a manual one, the tranny swap is very difficult to perform and its not worth the time and money it costs to do. try finding your newer model.

Question thanx but another question

I appreciate your response but, i have one more question that justed popped in my head and please don't flame me anyone, but if I have been learning anything from researching these forums it's that the b16a1 is non-obd cable trans, b16a2 is ob2 hydraulic trans, jdmb16a is just obd1 so what do i do if i do the jdmb16a in let's say 96 civic ex that's obd2 like what happens does the new ecu make it obd1 and isn't the b16a2 the usdm b16a.

ok if ur gonna buy an engine thats not the same OBD series as your car, your gonna need to make a whole mess of wiring changes, and a hydro-cable tranny conversion, or vice versa.

if your car is a 96 with OBDII id suggest getting either a b16b or b16a2, these motors will go in with less pain than a b16a would since you wont have to worry bout the OBD wiring or converting the tranny.

Just to tell you what I've done I have a 97 Civic and I swapped to a B16A OBD0 and here is what you need:

1. GSR Distributor
2. 96+ Vtec Injectors
3. 96+ alternator

that's it, my engine starts and runs with OBD2 harness...it's not that difficult as it seems.

to make clear this I'll include the following models

JDM models:

1. Civic/CRX SiR 1989-1991 OBD0 w/B16A 1st gen cable trans
2. Del SOl, Civic/CRX SiR2 1992-1995 OBD1 w/B16A 2nd gen hydro trans
3. Civic Type R 1996-1999 OBD2 w/B16B hydro trans

USDM models
1. Civic 1990-1991 OBD0 B16A1
2. Del Sol 1992-1995 OBD1 B16A3 (I'm not so sure on this)
3. Civic 1999-2000 OBD2 B16A2

if you want a B16 w/ OBD1 it has to be from del Sol USDM or from Sir2 JDM. If you want a B16 w/ OBD2 it has to be from Civic Type R JDM or from Civic Si 99-00 USDM. I hope it helps.
