EASY ON THE CAPS LOCK
I would think you'd have a better time working on an older 300ZX. Although your familiarity with Honda products would lead towards a civic. Considering your budget is pretty small when you consider you have to purchase the car as well as do the mods, you'll be in a faster/nicer looking car in the Z.

yes, i was thinking more the 300ZX myself. Like Yogs said, they are easier to work on and are faster. Nothing wrong with having a fast car right?

I would avoid the 300Z, most of them are high mileage and are falling apart. The civic or integra would probably be a better choice unless you save up some more cash and find a low mileage 300Z.
