I think my car got broke into :/

Man this sucks. I dont know when it happened i was driving today and i noticed a big black wire hanging from the left side from underneath of the console near the foot pedals. It tripped me up while i was driving thats how hung out it was.
Also the scew that holds together the assembly near the hood release is gone.

Does this sound like someone was trying to hotwire my car or some little brat going on a dare to be cool in front of his friends?

sounds like an attempted hotwiring to me. The fool prob didn't even know how to do it, luck for you. How'd they get in?? You leave it unlocked?? If so, why?? You didn't find anything missing?? Consider yourself lucky
