where is the fuel pump located

is fuel pump is located under the seat or top of the tank where i have to take the tank out for access?

In my E30, the fuel pump is right under the rear seat. Not sure about the E36ers. Check in a repair manual at your local Auto Zone.

Its the same in an E36 Right side under the rear seat. I think its 4 screws for the access panel and then there should be a locking ring that screws on that holds your pump in.
