b16b engine
Hi, just have a technical question. Does anyone know if stroking out my engine from 1.6 to 1.8l would be better than just getting a b18c5 crankshaft.

I just want to increase horsepower and torque with out turbo or nos
it is a b16b engine.

I would stoke it with maybe the JUN setup, but really you must want to go all out, The B16B crank is just as good as the ITR, IMO, just seems like a lot to swap out a crank (just a crank) Even with extreme N/A tuning that stock crank should be good for 80 extra HP!
Have you done cams/sprockets, valves, retainers, springs? I would start there before stroking it out, but go ahead. Jun has a stroker kit that tears it up!

what do think of the spoon stroker kit? and do you know wat is done with a NA tuning?

The kit is expensive as hell!!
Usually a full N/A tune, is a combo of tearing apart the motor, basically cleaning it up, it really is an air pump, so to make the flow smoother, more efficient many of the steps pertain to that. Then there is buildups, which include stronger parts, bigger parts, honing, etc. Then you need to modify the fuel delivery, or tweak it. So, tear it apart, send the various parts to machine shops, get them back install the new parts, and boom. dyno tune. (Usually it is helpful to have a reprogrammed ECU) Very expensive!

NA tuning (as well as basically everything else short of an air freshener) costs alot. how much money do you have? you could get new cams, titanium valves, port and polished head, fly wheel, pulley kit, clutch kit.

Sorry I dont have any pic just yet...but I will be taking pics of my car soon...I will post asap.
Well I just want to know how much NA tuning cost approx. I was planning to get the Spoon 1.8 stroker kit, jun cam kits stage 2 w/ cam gears, jun ultra lightweight flywheel...etc. As of right now I dont know the full direction of my car NA or Turbo :sun:
