Question 328ic plastic window

96 328ic convertible plastic rear window replacement. old window fit flat and perfect, new original equipment window replacement has a bulge. Dealer says cloth top must have been changed . Has any body had problems with window replacement being done at dealer?

Angry

I just picked up my car and had the same thing happen to me! Needless to say I'm pissed! I wish I had just put on a new aftermarket top!
Additionally, now the top won't go down! Dealer says that I must have been that way, BULL I've had the car for 6 yrs and never a prob with top powering down. Windows go down but no power to top or boot cover!
I feel 4 U!

Yeah, I'm driving around with a crack in my rear window too. Thought about getting it fixed but its $$$$. Wonder if your replacement was sewed in incorrectly, giving it a bulge. If you can prove it through a third party shop, dealer by law has to take it back and fix it right. BMW tops are not reliable at all, I want to find a hardtop cover to avoid the headache. Good luck to you both.

arent hard tops like between 1k - 2k? i think that is how much they are for the e46, i can only imagine that for the 30 and 36 they would be even more expensive since they most likely did not make a lot of them. . .
