S15 Track Car?
ive been reading through the forum and everyone says the only way to legally drive an S15 is for it to be for off road use only. well, that's fine with me. i can find an S15 rather easliy since i live near san francisco, but how would i go about making it "legal" to drive on the track, auto-x, drift days etc etc? my friend said that by insuring it as a kit car, it would be ok. i belive there's some limit of how many miles you can drive a year and what not, but thats ok. would all i have to do it buy it, insure it as a kit car, and not have to worry about the legalization? but then i gotta wonder, if its a kit car, would i be able to drive it on the street? i mean, we all think of kit cars as those loud ass fake cobras and what not driving down the street, key words "on the street."
anyone have any defenite answers? i know there's more than one JDM RHD S14 driving around, so someone must know.
oh btw, first post...my name is leif, i live in the east bay area, i drive a white 99 prelude type sh with mugen header and exhuast, lowered on teins, recaros, oem body kit, jdm fogs lights blah blah blah.
